Like most men around the world this time of the year, I also take part in the annual and global mustache growing phenomenon called Mo-vember or Movember.
"Yup! This dude ain't shaving no matter what!"
I started taking part in 2010 and since then avoided shaving my facial hair for the entire month. Of course, my wife doesn't approve of it but I try to explain to her that it's all for a good cause (and an excuse to just not shave).
Movember happens every November and ends at the end of the month. And shaving it after Movember is non-mandatory. Why November? I'm not sure but I would assume it has something to do with hockey season and winter (Go Canadiens!). Why do we celebrate Movember? Like women wearing pink for breast cancer month around July, us men grow whiskers for prostate cancer awareness and men's health. Why am I supporting it? Because I'm a dude who may someday soon have to speak to my doctor about my prostate health, etc. plus real men don't shave :D Can women join? Sure. Don't shave your armpits, legs, arms and, if you have any, facial hairs. Will I shave mine after Movember? Of course I will, or my wife will ignore me for Christmas (lol just kidding, Love).
So grow those whiskers and deprive your wives for a month...it's all for a good cause.
Now I got this diagram off the net (source) and I just want to share. It's called the trustworthiness of beards.
